About Me

The older I get the more I appreciate... Of course, the less I remember is true too!  🤦‍♂️

Currently raising, breeding and caring for various inverts and herps, although these days I’m currently focusing most of my attention on the inverts. It’s only fair, since I spent the first 50+ years mostly working with herps, that I spend the second 50 years working mostly with inverts.

As for cockroaches, I really enjoy all of the Blaberus, Eurycotis, Gyna, hissers, Lucihormetica, Macropanesthia, Simandoa and Therea to name just a few and am focusing on breeding / raising about 10 - 12 species at the moment. No Macropanesthia ...yet!... maybe someday. Millipedes and isopods have also wormed there way into my menagerie. I’m so fortunate and thankful for having such an understanding wife!

Most recent book purchase 06/10/2023: Milliped Zoology: Husbandry and Diversity of the Class Diplopoda by Orin McMonigle.

Best wishes.
