  1. Welcome!!! Polystes wasp, turtle and snakes? that sounds strange from a tleilaxu... I supposed you were breeding Face Dancers...
  2. I've observed that many species of roaches often keep a pond stick with one leg of first pair to eat it, just like mantids do with their preys...
  3. I've bought some roaches (2 species of Therea)from Arthropodia, a french breeding center... there is not a site, but you can download a PDF containing pricelist and address here: List They sell stick insects, mantids, roaches and so on....
  4. I'm a professional Pest Control Operator and a roach breeder... Blatta lateralis grows and breeds very slow under 24-26°C (and does not reproduce under 20°C)... I confirm that some well positioned glue traps are enough to control escapees...
  5. White dwarf isopods are parthenogenetic... if you keep them dark, humid and warm, they reproduce like rabbits...
  6. Livebearers and very good climbers on glass and smooth surfaces... I breed them without substrate, only egg crates...
  7. These are pictures of a Chionea sp., a sort of non flying "daddy long legs" that mates and lays eggs only when it's snowing...

  11. I bought two Peripatoides novaezealandiae from UK last year ... I kept them cold and humid as requested, but they both died in some months... Here it was going to eat a little roach just glued to the substrate...
  12. The eggcase takes 30-45 days or more to hatch, it depends from temperature... with high temperatures the hatching time is shorter...

  16. Blattella germanica actually represents the 80-85% of my PCO's work... But Supella longipalpa is coming up really fast... three homes infested in last three days...
  17. Lytta vesicatoria is fully winged and metallic green... so it can't be... It's a female of Meloe sp.

  19. Archispirostreptus has "military secretion"... it may be harmful to roaches...
  20. You can sex them just as other roaches without sexual dimorphism. You have to look the ventral face of their abdomen:
