Hi Orin! I had a G. portentosa culture with mites. I separated them in pairs and after that, I put some bleach (not too much) in a glass with water. Then, I taked a piece of hygienic paper (the paper that we use to clean our rear ) put a piece of it in the water and "clean softly the roaches. It was succesful! Best regards, Javier.

Well, I have a 10,000 Shelfordella tartara (Blatta lateralis) colony, so they eat a lot. They eat one big orange (150-200 gr) and 200 gr of dog food mixed with hens food. I also give them other fruits and veggies. Best regards, Javier.

BugmanPrice, it isn´t good idea to put in the same tank different roaches becouse they fight for the food and for hiding places so they can hurt themselves and eat the ootheca of the other roaches. Best regards, Javier.

I use an hermetic cage of 40x30x35 (sorry, I don't know how many gallons are) and I made a hole and put in it metalic mesh, like EffeCi's cage. Mines have substratum for the ninphs. Best regards, Javier.
