You are absolutly right about the dog food and cat food. high amounts of protien canbe deadly to dubia roaches and also prevent reproduction. I have many sources to back this theory up as well as several home studies i have conducted myself. The idea of roaches needing a high diet of protien is only based of assumtion there are no facts to back it up. remember i am only referencing B dubia in my statements.

hello, mine name is Jamie, I came to the site because i would l like to expand my roach breeding knowledge and collection. I currently breed B. dubia. i have a colony of over 60,000. Since i have began breeding these for feeders i have become very fasinated with them and have since became an expert with this particular species. I have much information i would like to share with this forum based of several studies. I also have much to learn about other species however. I am interested in breeding Hissers, death heads, discoids and many other species that any of you may introduce me too. I am sure many of you will have some excellent information to provide.
