  1. Little Kansans sound like the best feeder roach for you males and stay very small so your geckos can eat the adults to, I keep them in a tub that is half moist and half dry with a cork bark slab on the soil. The males can climb but there not the best at it. The males can get out of the tub I keep them in but I just figure it’s a way of naturally culling them lol. Most the males want to stay in the tub anyways. I can sell you 30 for $15 + $10 for shipping. I’d also look in to jungle micro pods they are very small I beleave bugs in syberspace has them, if there not in stock tell him what you need them for and I’m sure he’ll get you some.
  2. I’d love to trade for these if anyone has any to trade
  3. I know regular June beetles are found in soil so it may be the same with them? I’d keep the grubs in compost soil or topsoil with leaf litter mixed in, or just use the soil you found them in, I’m sure it’s composted.
  4. Where they in soil or rotting wood? That could be a clue to there identity with the beetles you saw
  5. I’m sure she will be fine, although I had a male black tiger hisser that molted and died, he turned the full black color and the next day he was still soft, it could be from just dying but I’m not sure
  6. Ivory’s are good cleaners, I know Kyle from roachcrossing recommends them for compost bins, (I know there is a name for composting with roaches but I can’t think of it) I don’t know how much of each sex they produce frankly I don’t think it matters to much because you can cull the extra males, im getting a pair of white throat monitors for breeding reasons so I’d be willing to take any extra males (or anyone’s extra males for a cheep price) because these guys are going to eat a ton. As for low temps they may survive I know tarantulas can survive in the 50s. I bet they would eat the snake poop but personly I’d just use isopods and spring tails so I wouldn’t stress out the snake to much
  7. Flat backed bark roach is to hard to say lol. I like flat bark cockroach, nice and simple
  8. That stinks, I’d be interested in any other katydid from there anyways
  9. @wizentrop man I want some katydid from there so bad, especially spike headed katydid
  10. Do you go collecting in South America then, or have collectors in South America?
  11. What soil would you recommend for this species?
  12. Wow very neat, is some of the skirting see through? It almost looks like it is. When will these be avalable? I look forward to seeing these established in the US market.
  13. I think there are more pet species of roaches than feeders, many people like to keep them as pets including me
  14. They get more active during the night, so if it’s night longer they are active longer which gives them more time to get anoyed with each other, that’s what I’m thinking, are the days getting warmer?
  15. Roaches that are not used for food could be given poorer diets but I strive to take the best care of all of my animals, I still don’t think anyone can argue that any other dry food is better than roach chow, even the best high quality dog food will have preservatives and some fillers in it, but that’s just my opinion, but I’m willing to challenge anyone who disagrees with me
  16. Mine normally get carrots, which they seam to like, I beleave that like apple as well
  17. In my opinion roach chow is the best way to go i manly put oats, cereal, fish food and bee pollen in my roach chow, that way you can control what Is going in there diet, and it is much healthier, especially if you feed reptiles I would strongly recommend during roach chow, I could even make some up and sell some to you, cape cod roaches sells it as well. I’ll list off the dry foods you mentioned from worst to best cat food, dog food, chick feed and fish food
  18. If you need any oak leaves I could supply you a small amount of crushed oak leaves Like a 16 oz container full of leaves, id just ask you pay for shipping which is $10
  19. Welcome to the forum, I beleave @Allpet Roaches Has horrids for sale, I hope you enjoy it hear. 29 species is very impressive!
  20. One nymph is a plus, I'd give them time and feed fruits and veggies and try not to disturb them to much, that's all I can think of, maybe @Hisserdude can help
  21. I bet they'd clean the skull fairly well, I have frozen mice and medium rats, I'd probably throw in a mouse, I bet they'd eat it all, there would just be a pile of bones left.
