  1. Hiya kids! Doing a bit more exploring of the forum and thought I would share a pic of one of the other invertebrates in my house. For those of you who know my work at the Butterfly Pavilion here in Westminster, Colorado, you'll know that I greatly enjoy capturing images of our Colorado bugs...including some of the cool spiders that call our state home! Here is one great example, a female house spider (Parasteatoda tepidariorum) currently residing in my garage window. She just finished enjoying a local assassin bug that was unfortunate enough to be invited over for dinner (you can just make out the knee).
  2. Hello Guys! Here's the last post in my photo series! This post is on all my inverts that didn't fit into any of the categories that I've already posted about. Here it is: https://allaboutarthropods.blogspot.com/2016/11/photos-my-other-invertebrates.html I sincerely hope everyone has enjoyed all the pics that I've shared throughout this photo series.
  3. I recently had 5 Phidippus audax molt into adulthood, all were male. I noticed that a few were large (about .21g-.16g), while a few were very small, smaller than any male Bold Jumper I've ever owned! (about .08g) Could this be due to genetics? They are kept in the same exact environment, and all fed a very similar diet of roaches and flies. I know that Phidippus regius and Phidippus audax males look very similar- is it possible that the smaller males are Phidippus regius? How can one distinguish between the two? I can include photos if needed.
