thesavageprojects Posted November 16, 2011 Share Posted November 16, 2011 I agree with the sentiment but your example is way off since snake venom kills people. snakes (as well as other animals)venom is used in tons of research but the most relevant is the pharmaceutical uses. neotropical rattlesnake venom is being use to lower diabetic's hemoglobin A1C, var. hemotoxic venoms are being tested as blood thinners for stroke victims, etc. of course venom is used to make anti-venom but that would only save your life if you got bit in the first place. so... that kind of cancels that out.
