I picked out 4 nice subadult females for him to go at it with, so hopefully I can further isolated this gene and breed it into a line much like the giant Gromphadorhina portentosa! You've been jumping to some conclusions in a few posts now and then withouit doing any research to find out if the info is correct first, and this can mislead someone who is new or does not know about a particular species. He looks different now that he's hardened completely (just look at those colors!) but he has the most notched pronotum I've seen on any roach! johningeorgia Posted October 15, 2013 Share Posted October 15, 2013 I am sure size is heritable but I don't know if you would see significant improvement in the first generation.I am going to try to breed my E. Posticus for color and size but it might take a while. Also I don't know how long it would take till inbreeding depression set in and made the line smaller.
