Keith Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 I bought a dubia with something sticking sideways out of it's rectum, it does not retract back in and sometimes it moves. It's grayish and at the end is a thin black hook, I cant get a photo right now. likebugs Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 It doesn't look too good. He probably was injured during mating or molting. Maybe you can spray it with water and try to clean it up a bit. That way you can see what part of it may be phallomere, scab, or frass/substratum that may be stuck to it.
