jplelito
Hi all, I'm Jon and I am an entomologist by trade. I have recently gotten into roaches as feeders for my mantids (thanks to my friend Kyle) but would welcome suggestions on those most charismatic for pets. Really enjoying browsing around the forum and checking things out.

Forcep
Welcome! All roaches have their own charm, but you cannot go wrong with Polyphagidae Peppered roach is another perfect beginner sp. If you have got used to mantid and feeder roaches, you'll be surprised what slow growers most roaches are.

Nanchantress
I vote for Peppered Roach - Archimandrita tesselata as being most charismatic.
happy1892
I vote for Peppered Roach - Archimandrita tesselata as being most charismatic. I vote for German Roach in that it is the most charismatic. Who else thinks this, too? Seriously the Lobster Roaches, Blaberus spp. (spp. means plural species and sp. is singular I guess), Byrsotria spp. are very neat in there personality and they do not die easily.
