Best roach nymphs to mimic ants?

5 posts in this topic

So I just got 6 Phrynomantis microps "West African Rubber Frogs". These frogs eat mostly ants in the wild. I currently have them a selection of very young nymph dubia and pantanal for them in the feed dish. They have eaten a few of the smallest ones. So I am looking for a suggestion of a roach that has very tiny non climbing nymphs. Red runners, Surinam any others?

Red runners would work well collect their ootheca in a jar and then it's easier to feed them off once they hatch. :)

Ahh little Kenyans are a good idea. Even the adults would be useable.  Lovebugfarm, could ootheca just be placed in the feeding dish to hatch or do they require special conditions?

I think as long as they receive a misting fairly frequently maybe 2 times a week minimum that should work.
