Here's a quick picspam of them after the pair has had a few hours to settle in.

Checking things out from a vantage point:

The girl hanging out on a plant:

The boy exploring:

And their home, a 10g tank:

My mom wasn't too thrilled about them, but oh well... I love them. :D

Also, any tips, suggestions, or corrections are welcome.

So many of us start out with a nice set up like that with a breeding pair and then a few years later the bug cages take over the living room! I do hear that pitter-patter of little feet in your future...LOTS of them! ;)

REALLY great set up you have there. Thanks for sharing.

How cool. I like your set up, and your roaches of course.

I don't know though. Do you have some sort of barrier for them, or something on that lid. I would only assume(or be paranoid) that they could get out of that lid.

You sound like me. "Mom wasn't to thrilled about them..." Hahah! I only just got the growly okay to get a few...to start. Hehe.

I just taped along the back with packing tape and the front corners are taped down. its so secure that i can lift the whole thing by the lid. lol

So you start with two, and in a few months, you have 200. XD

Good if you have kids practicing their multiplication tables. :P

"1 hisser times 1 hisser equals how much mommy?"

"739 hunny."

"That's not what the book says..."

"The book's dead wrong dear. Dead wrong."

How're they doing? Eating okay? Any escapes?

They are doing great. The female is looking a little fat. :P I've been giving them fresh carrots, celery, and fish flakes in a food dish everyday. No escapes yet. The fun is going to be if she has babies while I'm not home. I have the lid fairly well sealed except for a small crack. But I was told they wouldn't wander far if there was a nice bowl of food waiting for them, so I'm not too worried. Also, how would you go about getting them out of a decor piece to clean it? Specifically, that piece of fake bogwood on the left of the tank... hehe
