  1. I read many years ago that the digestive tract of the Blaptica Dubia was long and it them 72 hrs to digest food, can anyone confirm that please.
  2. I make a dry chow that consist of Wheat Bran, Rolled Oats, baby cereal, Spirulina Powder, Spinach Powder, Hemp Protein Powder, Pea Protein Powder, Bee pollen, been using for 8 years with just water gel crystals. I breed for resale. I got gnat when I tried wet/fresh food, I couldn't stay on top of it.
  3. I feed heavy once a week, but in between I keep my water Gel crystals hydrated and replenish food when a bowl is empty. I'm growing out 10K babies, so they stay fed and watered always.
  4. I wouls say OrangeHeads, much more then my Hissers and Red Runners, while my Disciods and Pallids have very low smell, Dubia in between.
  5. Add Bee Pollen, 1 teaspoon per 2 cups of feed, they also go nuts for it and its nutritious.
  6. Been keeping them for years, here and I find a male body dead, escapees don't last long, on the other hand I have more Madagascars escaping and surviving.
  7. I very interested in breeding this species, I have Madagascar Hissers, Dubia, Discoids, Orange Head and Red Runners, Id like try breeding these, are there for sale?
  8. I raise Blaptica Dubia and Blaberus discoidalis, but I very interested in these Archimandrita tesselata, how to raise them properly and where to get them, I've read they get big and are easy to handle, I'd like that option, handling a roach.
  9. Is it possible to hybridized these two species, I have 16 male Discoids I want to breed to 80 female Dubia.
  10. I use chick waterers, its keeps them hydrated and helps with humidity.
  11. Something you may consider for your totes, is a double vent, I use it on all my tote because I believe air quality is just as important as food and water quality, heres a link to a video I posted on youtube, the vents are in the beggining of the video.
  12. I raise Bearded Dragons, I use to feed them crickets, if the smell and the die off wasn't bad enough, a few got lose and made their way to my landslords apartment/office, I almost got evicted, now I breed Dubia, my guys eat them, everyone who buys a baby bearded from me learn to feed them dubia also, best move I ever made. As a feeder they perfect for my guys, I now have over 20,000 Dubia, 9 bearded dragons.
  13. I only deal with Blaptica Dubia, but someone sent me a picture of one I don't recognize.
  14. I have my own formula for my Dubias, the key ingredient is Spirulina (Blue Green Algae) its about 60% protein, Digestible protein, not all proteins are. since it is a single cell organism its easily metabolize. its can easily be added to your current diet.
  15. I'm very interested in nutrition, my background includes 10 years witha School of Veterinary Acupuncture and Chinese Veterinary Herbal Medicine, I believe Food is Medicine, our feeders and those who consume our feeders should be feed with a proper and complete diet.
