    My origami

LOL! Wonder what would happen if an actual hisser came into contact with a paper one? Mind you it would probably climb right over it without a care in the world and go back popping out babies......LMAO! Awesome work though. Would be cool if real hissers appreciated it like we do.

    Phortioeca phoraspoides?

Those are cool looking. Do the photos come from your blog or what? Would like a link to it because I've got a feeling it's about insects or something of the sort. Thankies. And Google can be a pain in the butt when you're trying to look up something and it's not there. Hate that. It has happened to me loads of times. Too many to count. What species are the roaches in the pics?

    Phortioeca phoraspoides?

I think so. I'm sure though. I haven't been there in a while.

    Phortioeca phoraspoides?

I agree with you 100%. I'm planning to do this too. I've already done it tons of times when going to camp and places upstate and stuff. Even around my house you get some really nice looking insects. Roaches yes but only P. americana and the German cockroach. Darn it! Would like to see some other ones in person besides those. I could live without seeing those 2 but they're so many different ones out there that I would like to see including whatever else comes along with them.

    Phortioeca phoraspoides?

I just Googled it and got nothing useful in either the web or image search. Dang I would like to see what they look like. They sound interesting.

    Hooray!

OHO! I knew that if there were American and German Cockroaches then there'd have to be Asian ones. Also are there any roaches that have the common name "African Cock Roach" and have a similar pattern on the thorax to that of the German and Asian roaches? Need to know because if there is one then we might get close to having a roach for every continent ( except Antarctica unless I'm gravely mistake?! )!

    Roaches for 2008

Well I would like to have any roach for a starter. The only ones available atm are German Cockroaches. And my mom is trying to kill them before they start taking over. Damn it! I wanted to raise some.

    ...or even these!

Yep that's it. And they're variable too. Beautiful species.

    Thorn Spider (orb weaver)

Arrow shaped Microthena! Love these. I think that they might be in the hobby because I remember talking to some one on VL that has kept them. Although it might've been just an experiment.

    Large Canyon Isopods

I read about these on a topic on AB but I've never seen any pictures of them. Congrats on obtaining some. Could you post pics because I've never seen them before. And Google didn't come up with what I was looking for. Thanks alot! Again good luck with them. And remember PICS!

    Hi!

I love roaches so that's why I'm here. My mom is the complete opposite of me so I don't have any colonies atm but I plan to get some as soon as I'm allowed to move out and get my own place! But I'm here so YAY! And it's not just roaches that I love it's ALL insects and spiders. And I also would like to know more about all the different species of roaches, so I guess I came to the right place then! ^.^ I have a blog about insects and spiders. It's filled with stuff that I found on the web. I have one thing about roaches, but I'll get more up definitely. You can see it here. Oh yeah and one more thing: I'm a girl! *Wonders how many people fell off there seats*

    Hi!

I even have my favorite roaches too! I'm in love with Domino roaches. They look alot like beetles and they're adorable! I'll be 16 on March 1st so when that day comes I'll only have 2 years left! Times goes by fast! Are there any other roaches like Dominoes? Would like to know because I will go crazy finding out more about them. I do that alot when it comes to something I come across and am interested in. Especially languages and insects. And I'm going to show my mom pics of all the pretty roaches. When she sees them I hope she changes her mind sooner. Who knows? Always worth a try right?

    Hi!

Thanks for all the replies and welcomes! Means alot to me. I know this is late but I'm wishing that all of you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. ♥ And I've surprised alot of people with the fact that I'm a girl on other forums that I'm on. So alot of their reactions are funny indeed. And others are just plain cute. ^.^ Yes she does. Hermit crabs ( Ever since 1998 ) and in the summer I raise Painted Lady caterpillars. Been doing that around the same time I got my first hermie. Love them to death. I would really like to keep some praying mantises and some roaches of course. Also I would like a Tarantula of some sort. But she tells me when I ask her: "When you're 18 and you have your own place then you can keep what ever you want". Which I can't wait for that to happen, but I want to enjoy my "child hood" first. Oh ho! You're going down! *Bounces and tackles her back* ^.^; Thank you!

Thanks alot for the info! I will definitely look all of these up. And I have heard of some gorgeous species of hermit crabs that I hope I can get my hands on sooner or later. And about the Cryptocerus sp. I will definitely look those up. Thanks for all info. YAY!

    How to keep Panesthia?

You guys do know the Termites are more closely related to cockroaches then they are to ants bees and wasps? I ran across a site that said that they're a type of social cockroach! It's in my bookmarks somewhere. I'll have a looksie later.
