  1. I just noticed Kyle mentioned blatticomposting on his site. Which I think is awesome! Since I'm huge into giving all of my table scraps to my roaches and it works out beautifully. Was wondering who else is into blatticomposting. He posted this link as well with more information if your interested.

    Citrus love !

I've had my roaches on a basic set up for quite some time. Then I discovered this site....and a billion other roach enthusiasts ! I've always given fresh fruit and veggies but I'd never tried citrus and IDK why. E.javanica,G.portentosa,& B.dubia....devoured it! I'd never seen them consume something so quickly. I gave them decent sized slices of grape fruit.
  3. I added three new species. moved a few into diferent bins. Isn't my rack sweet : ) and oh my look how big this guy has gotten
  4. I was opening up my H. Flexivitta bin to toss in an orange slice when an adult male burst out ..... fluttered to the floor and then ran away. I doubt I will find him ....but I may be sleeping with him tonight muwahahaha. It had me cracking up.
  5. last weekend I sent Kyle some money for roaches while I was wasted lol! I forgot to send him shipping...hell I didn't even tell him I wanted pairs. We sorted that all out the next day when I realized what went down MUWAHAHA. G. grandidieri (black) - so handsome, jet black! crazy looking at my tigers compared to these guys. H. tenebricosaso - these guys didn't like sitting on my stoop lol. I think they are going to make it though. I hope so. B. rothi - I can't wait til' they get HUGE <3 eeeeep so happy with my drunk roaches!

    Update

got a few new species recently from Kyle <3. fusca - dusky cave roach B.cabrerai - striped burrowing roach Panchlora sp. - giant banana roach A.insignis - flat horn hisser pairI lol *runs to room with sweet pepper bag*. My Tesselata's are doing great! After adjusting the husbandry a bit they are molting into robust vibrant adults with lovely wings. Waiting for two nymphs to grow into a big sweet colony is slow and exciting! I would def reccomend. The new roaches arived and I come to a realization that I'm a space case and had nothing ready. *runs to walmart, busts out rotozip, glue gun, screen, scissors, vasaline, egg flats, mulch, moss* Hmmmm remember you can always ad shelves : P Portentosa nymphs! G.Oblongata! He's a big boy. Picked up a tegu *Bundy* Hanging out at the Expo with my Son . Not vending this show just visiting.....little ones can't resist tiny turtles. It will be a shame if they actually suscesfully ban selling these profitable gems!
  7. who has some Macropanesthia rhinoceros ...they are so so so sexy ... The only place I've found them for sale....they have only males

    Escape!!!!

holy moly I swear I plugged up every possible escape route for the G.Portentosa lol! I keep finding little nymphs here and there. Every roach enthusiast I have spoken with has just told me they tend to be escape artists. I am determind to keep them in their enclousures. I love my roaches. The rest of my family would probably scream at the sight of a tiny nymph lol. I think I shall buy two small containers....After years of roaches...I've realized I don't like my bigger bins....as much as my smaller ones with locking lids and small mesh air ways....so now I start the process of switching every species over to smaller containers....even if I have to split some colonys. <3 Think it's about time to ad a few new species to the collection : - P

    Update

If your selling them with a disclaimer claiming they are for educational purposes then I do believe it's still legal.....They are trying to take away that privilege . So much for education hahahaha. I will get the finer details at the next swap! I shall measure that boy today. I do believe that pair just had their first batch of nymphs <3

    Update

yup clear packing tape....as you can see they are all haulted at the start of it lol. Then there is a layer of vaseline above that. It helps emensly .... but those little fucks tend to escape still every now and then.
  21. Since I am at a reptile expo every month I have egg flats on tap : ) for display I wouldn't use them but for selling purposes...so easy to take out your flats shake...scoop up roaches ahhhh easy . Sequins sound AWESOME! I must seeeee this! DISCOOOOO ROOOOACHHHH

    Blatticomposting

I did rotting carrots yesterday. They loved it! I almost did rotting cucumber. I always google anything I'm iffy about and ask fellow roach gurus. I'm happy I did! Turns out cucumber isn't very yummy to roaches I guess.
