how to know

Recommended Posts

Very little is known about cockroach illness and health, since most of the research thats been done so far has been for the purpose of exterminating them. They probably won't get sick, anyway.

okay but i'm sure there will come more about illness right ^_^

I think bugs just die if they become infected with something... I don't think they are really "complex" enough for that. I might be wrong, however.

Insect blood cells deal with all kinds of infection: pathogens, parasites and parasitoids, etc. Actually even bacterium are complex enough to have some "immune" functions.

Most things hissers die from tend to be physical injuries, like dropping or poor humidity or being too cold or having the wrong food... I've never seen an actual real 'illness' as such.
