Blaberus discoidalis?

Recommended Posts

HELLO,

I HAVE PICKED UP SOME B.DISCOIDALIS. I HAVE A PAIR OF ADULTS THEY DONT HIDE AS MUCH , AND SOME NYMPHS. BUT MY NYMPHS ARE ALWAYS HIDING IN THE SUBSTRATE. DOES ANYONE ELSE USE BEDDING FOR THIS SPECIES? IT SEEMS THAT THEY ARE NOT EATING, AND THAT SUCKS? MAYBE ILL TAKE OUT THE SUBSTRATE? ALSO MAYBE SOMEONE CAN GIVE A QUICK CARE SHEET?

THANKS

Yes I had a colony of Discoid roaches a few years back. They're a big, beautiful species and easy to manage since they don't climb glass. The friend who gave them to me said that if the room is below 70 degrees, they'll stop eating. So, make sure the room is above that temperature. Have fun!!
