roach jelly?

It looks like a Japanese product they use for their pet rhino and stag beetles! I think the romanization is "konchuu zerii" or just "bug jelly." Never used it before, myself, but it looks interesting!

I think it's just bananas, honey and brown sugar mixed with gelatin and a mold inhibitor. Nothing special about it, except that it's probably convienant to use. I've noticed that roaches like sweet things- whenever I paint brown sugar moth bait on trees in dry pine- oak woodland, dozens of parcoblatta nymphs are usually the first insects to find it- even though it's several feet above the ground. I tried feeding brown sugar to my dubias and they seem to like it too.

I've actually had a similar "candy" packaged the same exact way and of the same consistency. I cant recall where they were from but they were definitely foreign. And pretty tastey too. I figure if I can eat them my roaches would.
