I hear and see about this all the time.....first off thank you to guys like Hisserdude who correctly point out that there has been no imports of Dubia for years, and there is only one "modern" species in the Blaptica dubia genus....apparently others were noted in a writing made I think it was the 1800s but lord knows what they actually were given that there was no photos and we have advanced by leaps and bounds our understanding of cockroach species since then. I first seen "golden" dubia about 9 years ago.....I purchased from a small breeder a large colony of Dubia wherein all the males

  2. Actually it's ammonia buildup because they don't bind it in uric acid but even if they understood what they were talking about they'd be wrong.
