Stone
Have Megaloblatta longipennis been cultured by hobbyists or are they not available in the hobby? I remember seeing them a few years back in the Smithsonian Institute. They are a very cool and interesting species, would be great if they were available in the hobby. Definitely a species I would love to acquire in the future, that is if they are indeed available.
Matt K
No Megaloblatta sp. is or has been in the hobby. Even very few have been on display anywhere in the world, and their natural history is poorly documented (in my opinion). I have been on a couple of trips to meet Megaloblatta in person and better document thier natural history, but they are not as easy to come by as one would hope in thier home environ. I have seen a few in the wild and photographed only one at great distance.
