PAPAROACH
I work with a large amount of Orange Heads, I shook out 4 colonies and sexed every adult to find 90% females. Could it be the females getting aggressive or looking for protein? I have also had a hard time producing 1" OH. Any tips are greatly appreciated. PAPAROACH
To add some context it was 650 adults in total
Bhjjr
What are you working toward? With that ratio I'd think you would be producing tons of babies. Maybe the males die early on from too much energy spent in procreation. I'd die of a heart attack!
PAPAROACH
I'm working towards more 1" and adults. I have so many babies, but I constantly have large die-offs trying to get them to grow out. I did set some up this week with way more males.
Bhjjr
I initially read your number as 650 roaches, but that's just adults! I would suggest separating the colony a few times so there is less food competition but looks like you already are doing that. Hope that works out!
