Pharma
Hi Your dwarf hisser looks like Elliptorhina javanica (and not E. chopardi) to me . Maybe you should check out whether your new cam has also a flash *smile*. Grüessli Andreas

Ozymandias
these are some shots of our hisser colony at work that i take care of. it always amazes me on the color variations in the hissers there, i'd actually like to hear what people think about that to be honest. Hibiscusmile
Do they breed easy?

hisserman
Do they breed easy? Yeah, about 20-90 babies every 2-4 months A hobby species... your mantis can eat the babies, though

likebugs
Nice pic! I just checked this morning to find that I have a fresh adult female Discoid. It scared me half to death to see that skin, I thought it was a dead roach. I am new at this, and only have 4 so I am still a little worried about them. That skin looks very neat, my Discoid skin was slightly shredded at the opening. I am used to mantids, and their sheds are mostly transparent, I guess that is why I had to take a second look, before I realised that something good happened. Ozymandias
this is actually one of the best looking sheds i've seen for a while usually i just let the isopods or other roaches it the old skin this one i'm saving.
God of Roaches
Do you think interbreeding did this (If so, Good Job, Interbreeding!)? Roaches are build for inbreeding, it has no negative effects like it would on humans. You can start out with a colony of one male and one female that could eventually grow into the thousands. hisserman
I know..... Interbreeding does have it's downfalls, but it doesn't matter.
