Fredrik
My name is Fredrik Haljesgard and I am 35 years old. I live in Sala (a small town in Sweden), together with my partner and our two wonderful kids. My interest for arthropods started with a pet tarantula, a Grammostola rosea, which I bought in a local pet-shop. Quite soon one tarantula became several tarantulas and I quickly moved on to keeping various species of millipedes, snails, beetles, reptiles, you name it. I have had a small business running, called HaljesZoo, supplying rare invertebrates to zoological gardens, pet-shops and individuals. But the business is resting at the moment, due to illness. I have been sick-listed for 7 years now and I'm finally making some progress. I still keep and breed arthropods today, but only on a hobby basis. /Fredrik
Fredrik
Sorry, didn't see the questions. 1. Do you currently raise any roaches? Yes, but only a few at the moment. 2. If so, how many? Two species, Blaptica dubia and Polyphaga obscura 3. Do you culture roaches as pets or feeders? Both 4. If feeders, what kinds? Blaptica dubia 5. Are there any specific roach questions that you would like to ask the community? No questions at the moment, but I'm sure there will be. 6. How did you find our community? I was invited. Thanks for the invitation by the way /Fredrik
Allpet Roaches
Hi Fredrik, Thanks for joining the updated Allpet Roaches forum. Sorry to hear of the illness but glad to hear you're making progress. Does your P. obscura culture consist of only females?
Fredrik
Hi Fredrik, Thanks for joining the updated Allpet Roaches forum. Sorry to hear of the illness but glad to hear you're making progress. Does your P. obscura culture consist of only females? Thanks, Orin! Only females. I don't know if there have been any males in the past, I don't think so, but I'll look into it. Best wishes Fredrik

Roachsmith
Welcome Fredrik! I would love to have a bug business one day. We aren't allowed to have as many cool bugs here in the US though. My hobby started with hissing roaches, then I moved on to keeping other bugs and tarantulas.
