Zaf
Which makes for a better display/handling pet?
wodesorel
I had two O. ornatus for a few weeks. (I think something happened at the distributors or during shipping as neither acted normal from day one.) They secrete a yellow liquid that smells acrid, and the liquid can also stain any skin it touches purple for a day or two. The smell will also stick through many washings! They are beautiful and would be a great observation pet, but I lost interest in handling them very quickly because of their smell. Even with only one the 10 gallon, the entire tank picked up that scent and it was rather unpleasant to be in there feeding and watering.
