Had to read it for a German lit class. Enjoyed it. Found myself sympathizing with Gregor. However, it does seem to perpetuate the belief that roaches are the most vile of creatures, and we all know that the only the opposite is true.

I also remember Kafka making a few a errors on cockroach morphology, but he was a flawed writer—not a cockroach enthusiast. I may have to find my old copy and reread.
