entity
So I need to put some leaves in with my roaches and my isopods. My question is, do they have to be dried out and dead leaves? or can i just pluck them from my maple trees out front and put them in green? I want to wash them, so if they have to be dried out, how would i wash them without them crumbling?

Yeah they need to be the dried out dead leaves, you can just soak them in hot water for a bit, but any rubbing will crumble up the leaves. Tenevanica
They have to be dead. I collect them from the ground in the late fall, and I get enough to last me the year.
