iradei
It seems that I have trouble breeding this species. For some reason, they don't reproduce or have babies as quickly as my other hissers (portentous). Is this normal or am I doing something wrong ? I have about 70 of them and keep them at around 27-28 degrees in a dark room and give them a lot of veggies and cat food.
Betta132
Yeah, that sounds like pretty much ideal hisser care. Do they have plenty of space? Moisture? A couple degrees warmer wouldn't hurt.
iradei
They do have plenty of space. However, I keep them in a fairly dry environment.
Axolotl
I have a thriving colony that produces more than I can keep up with. Currently keeping them at 27 C with weekly mistings. I also keep one corner of their 10 gallon tank moist at all times. Try banana and oranges. They love fruit. I also feed mine organic, pesticide/herbicide free maple leaves. They go through a small branch worth every few days.
Marco Sonnenscheisse
I have mine relative dry (50%) and in the winter at only 23°C and they still produced babies in a good amount. Best thing is to look early for someone who takes the roaches which get too many, in numbers for feeding purpose. Greetings, M
iradei
Then I guess all I have to do is wait a little longer
