Hey, My name is Matt. I've only been keeping roaches for about a year or so. I've got a pretty strong colony of Eublaberus prosticus, and another strong colony of Blaptica dubia going. I started keeping roaches as a source of food for my geckoes but I have become very interested in the roaches as well. I'd like to start keeping more species, perhaps something that doesn't reproduce as fast as the two species I currently have. I'm always looking to purchase some new roaches, so if your looking to sell a species I don't have, shoot me a message and maybe we can work out a deal.

I also work part-time as a state park naturalist here in Missouri, and were always looking for other neat invertebrates as well. I'm always looking for some kind of neat tarantula, trap door spider, mantis or whatever.

  1. I've used vaseline for Eublaberus prostic, and Blaptica dubia, and it works for the adults, but the babies crawl right over. They also eat the vaseline over time so then it presents no barrier whatsoever. Could anybody recommend anything else? Has anyone used BugBarrier, or any other such products?
