I have pure bernhardti, and what are supposedly real petiveriana as well. Waiting for the latter to establish still, getting babies from the bernhardti now though so those will be available soonish.
Yeah they eventually started hatching, think it was just taking so long because I was keeping them in the 70s. Once you bump the temps up to the mid 80s it takes like 4-5 months for hatching.
Yeah if you have 50-100 in there already that's as many as an enclosure that size is ever gonna hold. You'll want to give them a bigger, wider enclosure with more substrate/surface area if you want a larger population.
They are one of the cutest I've worked with in a while for sure! 😄
It's so crazy to have pined for this species for so long, and to finally have them... I just hope I can rear some to adulthood successfully. 🤞😅 Crazier still, these R.bilunata may not be the only Rochaina I work with this year...
These have been a dream species of mine, ever since I first recieved my copy of the "Allpet Roaches" booklet, which has one on the cover (erroneously IDd as Paratropes lycoides). Such an iconic species, if I can rear these to adulthood I will be ecstatic. 😄
