Sometimes they just don't fold their wings properly when molting, and they get stuck that way. Often happens if they're disturbed during the molting process.

You and me both. Been wanting these for years, but every attempt I've made to get them has ended in failure. 😭 At this point forget breeding them, I just wanna see a live adult before I die. 🥲

It seems this is a highland species that wants temps no higher than 23-25C° for incubating their oothecae. So I think you have them too warm. They are also sensitive to excessive moisture as oothecae, and prefer very high air humidity, but low surface moisture.

Kinda looks like remnants of a mantid ooth.

Moderate to high ventilation levels work best for Gyna spp. IMO.

Still teneral, but we have reached L5! I also got a headcount and have 13 nymphs still, which is pretty great! 😄

I have pure bernhardti, and what are supposedly real petiveriana as well. Waiting for the latter to establish still, getting babies from the bernhardti now though so those will be available soonish.

I have found that this species seems to like a humidity gradient, personally I go for a 50/50 horizontal gradient.

I don't do night temperature drops at all. My current bug room is kept in the mid 80s 24/7.

Bit late on posting an update here but they have in fact reached L3. :)

Yeah I don't bother with night drops or anything.
