I like to grind cat food for my roaches, mix with ground cereal, baby food,brewer's yeast and chick feed. Cat food is high in protein but when mix with other food you get lower % of protein. I don't buy cheap cat food anymore, I get those with special blend of grains, fruits. Just found out last cat food I bought was different. I give them apple or oranges, sometimes green vegetables.

I wish I have a real macro lens, I used a 28-75mm lens with a multiplier glass filters, covered the flash with a piece of translucent plastic and plastic cap (pringles) to diffuse the flash. Pictures were cropped. Acquired these roaches from Zephyr except the peppered roaches came from two sources if I remember it right. I like the E. pantanal too. that's how my collection grew looking at the pictures posted on this forum....

What kind of photo editing software you have? I always resize my pictures to 700 pixels.

I think they don't bite wings like orange heads. Half of my culture matured and seems like they are all male or maybe I got it wrong how to sex B. fusca.

A lady who love dart frogs too gave me some of these and now it flourished. I had Armadillidium vulgare in Los Angeles but didn't know how to take care them at that time.

I got some baby mantises. I found a praying mantis in our backyard last fall I never thought they can survive the dry heat here in Las Vegas, kept it and feed it with crickets she produced 2 egg cases then died. I lost hope but still keep misting the container well got blessed tonight. I will take pictures when they are big enough or if they survive.
