3 posts in a row, kinda spammy, sorry. but i’m quite concerned now. does my new female have a prolapse? should i wait and see if it turns out okay or is this super bad? i just bought her. :(

i apologize for the unclear picture, i hope its enough to tell. i want them to get used to their environment before i disturb them.

btw, the spots by her butt are fish flakes, not any damage.

She is a hisser, yes?
If so than what she may be doing is "airing out" her ootheca. It is kind of difficult to see in that photo to be honest. Hopefully that's all it is, and it is normal for her to do so once mature and breeding.

i hope that’s the case, thank you!

the next day it's still the same. i've seen my old females airing out their ootheca before, and this doesn't seem to be it. it looks like a small bubble. any tips other than to keep it humid in there so it doesn't dry out or anything? can she get better at all? she doesn't seem stressed.
