Question about Magnificent Emerald Cockroach availability in the US

Please note this is an innocent question, I'm not trying to be argumentative I'm just a little baffled. :)

When I was searching for Corydidarum magnifica for sale some sellers in the UK came up. Why are they so much more reasonably priced in the UK? One had them for £4.00 and my jaw just about hit the floor. :ROFLMAO: Is it because they have not been available for very long in the US or some other reason?

Usually regional price differences are due to availability. There may be an abundance of them available over in the UK, whereas over here they may be more rare to come by.

That makes sense, just such a drastic difference I was really shocked! Still saving up for a few though, I'd love to have both the Emerald and the other variation, I believe it's copper? They're so gorgeous. :)

It is a pretty massive difference. It could also be possible that there are not as many collectors over in the UK and therefore there's less demand.
I also wish to have them, just to add to my collection. Eventually they'll go down in price here when more people get them in their collections.

Huge difference in supply and demand here in the states, keepers have struggled to produce this species as consistently as those abroad have due to any number of reasons. So the price remains very high here because the supply is far less than the demand.
Also I would argue that the EU hobby had a lot more imports of Pseudoglomeris (Corydidarum is not a valid name anymore) magnifica from Asia exporters than the US did. So they got into more people's hands more quickly over there.

Oops, got that genus name wrong! I thought it was the opposite and Pseudoglomeris was the old one, lol. 🤪
I didn't realize EU was lucky enough to have more imports, that makes a lot of sense since they would be better established and more readily available. I'll just have to be patient and save some money aside for when I do see some so I can pick them up. Thanks for providing more info, it's all great for understanding more about them.
