I have three hisser nymphs, I've only ever kept adults before, so this is new to me. One of them is lethargic, having a hard time gripping, almost... Squishy. and..... Pulsing? Is (s?)he okay? Should I steel myself for the worst? They mean the world to me, if there's anything they need, I'm on it. 100 percent. EDIT: they molted!!!! I've never been more proud!!!

I want one so bad! They look like they would be a really cute group costume! Since they're based off of the common "pest," roaches, we could go as an infestation!

I'm looking for good ways to accessories and show off my love of Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches and I was wondering if anyone knew of any earrings gauges necklaces patches pins buttons rings or bracelets with them? I'd take hairpins too I suppose.

UPDATE: I opened it up and there was this disgusting chemical stench so I'm washing it all out and starting over. No more egg carton

I'm getting (more ) baby hissing cockroaches soon, and I'm worried about them being smaller than the holes in my tank lid? Any advice for this? Should i just keep them in the temp enclosure (a large plastic container with egg carton and coconut fiber in it)or is there a better option? Thanks!

Does anyone know what Petasodes dominicana are like as pets? I can't seem to find any info on them but jeez are they beautiful and big!!

I know that hissers don't react well to direct light, but I was wondering if there were a color lamp that would work well? I was thinking it could help with heating and visibility! If this is a bad idea though, I won't! (PS sorry if this is the wrong place to post this)

Most roaches people start with are Madagascar Hissers or Halloween Hissers if you want something more colorful!

Its me! Gasper! I'm so excited to be approved and here!! I've owned a roach before, and soon I will be getting three more! I'm so excited!! And I would love name recommendations!! Anyway I mostly keep Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches! But eventually I would like to branch out and keep other species! I am 17 and my pronouns are they/them!
