Achatina reticulata ‘white flesh’

Hah! Nope, I had no idea it was a snail. :)

I have a few teeny tiny land snails in my mixed local tank. :P

 
When I was young, there were giant snails around in S. Florida from some kid that released his pets.

My Great Grandma would get some for me from her property. We loved those monster snails, and Grandma was upset when everyone was killing them and would gather them up and keep some. :P

Now, it has happened again, but there are rumors going around about them carrying meningitis and eating the stucco off of people's houses, so they are currently trying to kill them all off again. :rolleyes:

 
i come from the united kingdom..i have heard about the devastation land snails are causing in places where they are being released..a bit like things like mink and grey squirrels here in the uk

Yup those thongs can eat quite a bit of vegetation apparently would love some shots of it with it's shell because as of right now it really does look like a slug lol.
