Hello,
I’m semi-new to isopods and am trying to learn as much as I can. I was wondering if they are compatible with other species like centipede/millipedes or snails?
I’ve heard conflicting advice on this (snails get eaten by isopods no matter what vs they don’t if they’re given enough calcium, etc) which is making me quite confused.
I’m wondering if it’s a case by case basis so I’ll add some info that might help:
Relevant info:
- I’m planning on getting some Panda King isopods as I’ve had experience with environment sensitive pets before and believe I can manage that well.
- I do want a eco system that only needs limited intervention other than feeding, misting and monitoring (unless there’s a major issue like mites or mold). So, I’d rather avoid any species that requires intense attention/care.
- I’m potentially limited on space so if I’d need a massive (bigger than the average countertop) space, I’m happy to just keep the isopods in one tank and look into getting other insects another time.
Thanks for reading my rambles and any advice would be appreciated
Ty in advance
