Hey all! Total roach newbie here

Hey all!

I'm a newbie to roaches, although I've been keeping BDFBs and isopods for a little over a year now.

I joined here because I really want to figure out the best type of roaches to keep as a beginner, and this seemed like a good resource. I don't have any roaches yet, but hopefully that will be changing within the next few days!

Oh it’s been my username everywhere for years, I picked it at random ages ago because I like to eat carrots with lemon juice on them lol! Nothing too deep!

Get dubia roaches first. Feed them chicken feed and zucchini and you will end up with a colony

This is exactly how I got into it! They are minimal care requirements other than warmer temps for breeding and I keep a heat pad on one side and its working great so far. If you want something a with a little more color, there are two morphs for them that I know of - Amber and Pyrite, and they're both very pretty.
