My question is, are they afraid of light. I just saw a larg "bug" walk accross the kitchen floor. Didn't scury just walked. Im not sure if it is a water bug or roach. It went under the dish washier while I was trying to find something to catch it. The lights in the kitchen were on. I am in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It was Brown is tan about 2 inches long, had things sticking out of its head.

I don't think they are afraid of light. I maintain a moderate population in my Queens apt. and the same numbers come to feed regardless of the lighting (either house or sun). Perhaps their tastes change in a predator-free environment.
