Peter Clausen
Collected on the Washington coast, these isopods are HUGE (and unfortunately dead). I hope to obtain more soon. The larger one is over an inch in length, while the mottled one is still pretty sizeable by most standards.
Ralph
Those are huge! My biggest european sowbug was about the mottled one's size (and around 3 years old). Can you keep them in captivity? Have you tried rock slaters, a more aquatic species?
crittergu
If anyone wants any I can get them some also.(sea slaters) They are not aquatic but live on the high tide area in the intertidal zone where they feed on washed up seaweed.
