Forcep
There're a good number of Byrsotria rothi nymphs showing up in my colony, so I was trying to sex them today. After checking around 20 roaches I've became quite confused; usually it only takes me a glance to sex a nice sized roach nymph, but Byrsotria nymphs... they all look similar! The terminal sternum trait looks so vague on these guys. Anyone else breeding Byrsotria have the same experience or only me have the problem? RomanBuck
Have you compared a for sure male with a for sure female?
Forcep
Have you compared a for sure male with a for sure female? I have adult male and females; the abdominal characters are just as distinct as any other roaches. Maybe I'm just over reacting and should give the nymphs more time to grow? RomanBuck
If they are considered small yet I would wait. Only sex nymphs that are at minimum medium.
