Matt K
GSC made a comment on another photo that implied hissers are taken for granted (I think). I happen to love mine, as they are overall SO very different from say, any Blaberus sp., or "standard" roach shape. Almost like a whole other type of bug, and there are several species of them.... Matt K
They really are cool roaches.... Though I agree, hissers can be taken for granted as "oh, just another hisser" kinda thing associated with normal G.portentosas. Here is one I REALLY want: Leozehntnera maxima. The name says it all. Google for a pic. In my top ten list for sure.
Mike F
Very nice picture Matt. I have never seen a hisser with that much red. Also that Leozehntnera maxima is amazing, very interesting shaped horn in the males too. mike
