Hisserdude Posted September 8, 2021 Share Posted September 8, 2021 @Cariblatta lutea sent me some oothecae of these last year, which I hatched out and reared to adulthood, and they are now breeding and producing oothecae of their own! The males of this rare "Dark Form" have very dark wings, almost all the normal tan coloration is gone and has been replaced by black/dark brown, making them almost look like a male Polyphaga. The females of this strain also have pretty reddish abdomens, whereas the females from the normal form of this species are usually entirely black.
