  1. I would prefer subadults over oothecae since oothecae of this species seem to be very vulnerable compare to other Parcoblatta species in culture.
  2. You found Parcoblatta americana! Any chance they will be up for sale?
  3. Mine do that too! LOL Had to scrape some of the dirts off of the oothecae to take pics
  4. Um...scientific name is listed in the title. Lol
  5. Probably, combined with lack of space (they are in a gallon container).
  6. Double Ds have some Platymeris available right now. Otherwise, you'll have to get them from people online. Care and breeding can vary a lot depending on species so you have to be specific about which species you plan on getting. Oh and check out this group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/663304507081231/
  7. Females lay lots of oothecae, but the oothecae take long time to hatch so it takes some time to get a large colony. Also, I've had nymphs pray on each other so my colony never grows large.
  8. Ya. So I keep them in an air tight container with a plastic wrap on top. I don't use petroleum jelly on these guys since the small nymphs often end up getting stuck in the jelly and die
  9. Yep! Had hard time keeping these guys contained Not sure if it will climb through the holes on the window screen.
  10. They look almost identical to Blattella asahinai so I try to make sure that none of them end up in wrong container.
  11. Could be the same species since these were collected from southern FL
  12. Thank you Ya. It's simple and somewhat classic looking roach. lol
