Good day all, I wanted to ask if anyon ehere is experienced with catching Boll's Sandroaches in the wild? I'm currently in coastal Texas and really want to find some of these to try and get a colony going, but I haven't seen any signs of them. There's also the possibility that they just aren't in my town. anyone who's caught these in the wild before, how the heck did you do it?? Thanks in advance!

One of the most popular and effective methods of Arenivaga collection has been "fisting" rodent burrows, basically excavating the bottom layer of dusty substrate at the bottom of a rodent burrow's entry and sifting through it to find nymphs and adult females. I've heard this particular species has also been found in the dust in crawlspaces under houses in TX.

Dang I wish I had known about the crawlspace tactic earlier, although it would probably require me walking up to a stranger's front door to ask and them screaming at me to get off their property :ROFLMAO:

Oh my, I just had a horrible vision of sticking my hand in an empty rodent burrow only to grab hold of some kind of venomous snake. That'd be my luck, lmao. :ROFLMAO:

Or a shotgun pointed in your direction - heh, I live in TX too and ya just never know.
