BugmanPrice
Was Gromphadorhina laevigata changed to Elliptorhina laevigata or is is really a seperate distinct species that exists? Found in "American Insects: A Handbook of the Insects of America North of Mexico". I just wanted to know.
Allpet Roaches
1. The animals depicted in that books are most likely Gromphadorhina portentosa, and are certainly not Elliptorhina. 2. Yes, members of the genus Elliptorhina were previously in the Gromphadorhina genus so G.laevigata and E.laevigata are the same creature also known as v-horns (but not the creature in that book).
