blatta70
Hello, my name is Mark. I am a pest control operator in the Chicaoland area. Ironically I also enjoy keeping roaches as pets. I frequently use insect growth regulators (gentrol) for control of german roaches in the restaurants and other accounts that I service. Although there is no evidence that the application of this product affects people, I'm sure that a certain amount of this material drifts on my clothing and body despite my cautious efforts. I normally change my clothes and shower before working with my roaches but on occasion I don't have that opportunity. My question is: Has anyone who regularly applies gentrol or other brands of insect growth regulators had any adverse or potentially harmful effects to their pet roaches through indirect contact via clothing or possibly hair/skin? Thanks, Mark
Allpet Roaches
In the past I used gentrol regularly and just made sure to wash my hands and change clothes and had no problems. However, it was only for a little over a year.
