macbrush
About 2 hours after molting, it was slightly tanned. As soon as it regained its strength, it started eating its molted exoskeleton like there is no tomorrow. I didn't want to scare him off by moving thing around while he was eating, so i only got his head pictured.
Peter Clausen
There is something creepy about eating ones own exuvia. Seems a good way to replenish nutrients though. I always find that intermediate gray stage interesting too. I get lots of people asking if they can keep their millipedes and roaches together, but I wonder if you don't have a hamster or gerbil hidden in there somewhere. radjess331
actually lots of lizards will do that... bearded dragons and monitors included. Especially juvenile lizards to get the extra nutrients.
