Matttoadman
Just caught some mixed nymphs today. 45 degrees makes catching them much easier. I found two groups. One group is pictured the other are very dark. I wonder if they are a different species? I tried to get a pic of them but they seem faster and more secretive. Hisserdude
Looks to me like the are all the same species. Nymphs can be a bit variable in coloration, in my experience.
Matttoadman
I couldn't get the dark ones in the pic but probably the same. Perhaps diet can effect color of nymphs?
Salmonsaladsandwich
Just wait. When my p. pennsylvanica nymphs molted to subadult, the female's appearance barely changed but the males turned jet black with white edges.

That last one looked darker than the others. But yeah, they are probably the same species.
