I am noticing some "velvet" variations between the Guangxi and Yunnan specimens... i am not sure if they are related to locality or nymph age. The Yunnan seem to be more velvety but they are all nymphs still... so i need to wait to see how they develop. I think adults do lose a little bit of the velvety hairs down the middle, and in some cases if collected harshly may have some of the hairs rubbed off.
