Eucorydia yasumatsui (Sapphire Flower Roach)

Recommended Posts

A very pretty, small species that I've already gotten some offspring from! 😁 Adults are very short lived but super pretty, females lay tiny ooths containing roughly 8-4 eggs each, but lay them frequently.

Nymphs:

Adult male (with slightly crumpled wing):

Adult female (with an oddly orangish right tegmina).

It's a shame my camera did not capture their blue iridescence well, they're really much more pretty in person.

When you say short lived... you mean 1 month ? more?

Very curious to know the hatching period for the oothecas.

Thank you for sharing

For me my males live about 1 month, females around 2. The ooth incubation only seems to be around 2 months. :)
