Sir Roach
Hey everyone I found this place through a link on Wikipedia's Cockroach page. I've always been interested in various types of insects but this message board sparked my interest in keeping Roaches as a hobby.
RosenKrieger
Welcome! What species of roaches do you have? If you don't have any, I'm sure some people around here could sell you some.
Allpet Roaches
I hope we can keep your interest in this great, low-maintenance pet!
Sir Roach
I don't have any roaches other than the three male wood roach nymps that moved into my basement. Well, I think they're wood roaches but they don't really give you enough time to inspect them
RosenKrieger
That's cool. I started out with an Oriental Roach I caught on my porch. Native species are as good a place to start as any.

Why do you think they're nymphs, and all males?

Why do you think they're nymphs, and all males? I had assumed if they were small and wingless they were nymphs. They have only been in my basement for possibly 2 days, I had assumed they came from some firewood that was brought in. If I keep seeing them then I guess they're just Periplaneta americana? I'm pretty much a noob to roaches so I expect to be corrected about a lot of things.
